So today I went to the DMV. *dundundun* ...it really wasn't as scary as everyone says it is. You go to the DMV expecting crazy long lines and waiting around forever crammed up against people you don't know and probably never want to be friends with just so you can wait around in another line to have your picture taken (which will probably turn out like a mug shot anyways) and end up thoroughly flustered and overall upset by the end of your wonderful experience there.
That however was not the case today.
Today I went to the good DMV (as opposed to the scary, evil, normal DMV). We showed up there at the bright and early time of 10:30am and much to our suprise found hardly any lines at all!! (WHAT?!?!?!) Yes. Hardly ANY lines. So we got in line #1 to get our ticket (G200!) to go wait for a window. After about 7 minutes they called us. I proceeded past the other waiting people there to window #3 where the nice lady took all my paperwork and checked my vision. apparently she found it satisfactory enough to send me to line #2 to have my picture taken. That took almost no time at all and then I found myself standing face to face with an ominous sky blue door. "TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONES OR FACE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION THE REST OF YOUR LIFE" it seemed to say to me. So, I quickly lost my cell phone and stepped into the room. The hustle and bustle behind me died away to a heavy silence. BEHOLD! It was the room for written tests. Some hard to understand asian man gave me my test and wished me good luck before I slumped away to the corner to begin. About 15 minutes later I finished my test and walked up to have it graded. Yep. I only missed one. Go me. So I triumphantly skipped out of the room with my shiny new permit in my hand.
...and that dear children is the story about how I can now drive my shiny new car (after I drive with my driving school people first). :D
Yay for having a permit.

YAY!! Did you see that Amanda also got her permit yesterday, the 19th?? Too weird.... ;)
My permit test was given to me by an asian man I could barely understand, too! And I missed one, just like you! Good job! Congrats!
